About this webinar

Nurse and patient in wheelchair

Minnesota is one of the few states in the United States that has safe patient handling statutes. This presentation will detail the specifics of those statutes and which facilities are covered. It will also address the challenges of safe patient handling that are common to many different environments and what best practices are being used by facilities to address these challenges.  Resources will also be discussed.

Who should attend

Any facility facing the challenges of safe patient handling. Specifically impacted facilities include:

  • Hospitals
  • Skilled nursing facilities
  • Outpatient surgical centers
  • Clinical settings

Facilities that are not specifically covered like assisted living facilities and group homes will still benefit from the information shared in the presentation.
